Tips for Tidying Up
My lifestyle has changed almost completely due to the lockdown that was swiftly happened on March 23rd 2020. On one random morning; I found myself causally staring at and the different sections of my withdrawn room. It was stuffed and cluttered with different worksheets, paperback books and some stationery; It made me intensely feel that some essential changes need to be carried out to make me feel more attached and relaxed in my own space.
I began by strictly separating the things that were essentials and things I didn’t need, things that were appealing to me and quite stressful (school work). I then approached the tedious task and hanging my clothes in order of appearance (sizes and colours) – which I found quite therapeutic. I placed school materials into bags to make my cupboards more spacious and cleared some books and old exercise books that were now useless to me. However, these are pretty urgent things I did because I didn’t want to feel confined and trapped in lots of school work alongside the daunting experience of year 11.
Since then I have started to follow mandatory and daily tasks, such as:
1) Making my bed
2) Opening the windows ;to allow fresh air to get in
3) Sorting out the dirty/worn cloth from the clean ones
4) Making sure that my floor isn’t messy with things like ;plastic ,papers ,food etc.
These are my main tips for tidying my room to make it look more organised and appealing to yourself and others . I hope you enjoyed reading this.
