Our Corporate Parenting Fun Day – written by LinCC
The idea of the fun day theme was approved by Councillor Fortune the Deputy Leader of the Council and Portfolio Holder for Education, Children and Families and Janet Bailey the Director for Children Services, we interviewed them for our first newsletter.
On the fun day LinCC members had to wear a minion costume to represent them as LinCC members In this case the LinCC members will only wear the minion costumes and were the team leaders for the Sports day event.
The day itself was amazing. We had about 395 people attend. The food was delicious, BBQ, ice cream, Krispy Kreme doughnuts and many ore delicious food. All of the LinCC members lead a team of other children, social workers, managers and councillors in an all-out Sports day style event. We represented colours Red ,Blue ,Yellow and Green. Can you guess what team won?
Of course it was Red Team ???? It was great seeing everyone laugh and have fun. It is one day that we definitely feel close.
During the fun day LinCC also raised over £800 by auctioning off photography. This is for our project where we are buying housewarming gifts for care leavers. Overall we were super proud of the day and the photos will show you how amazing it was.
