Ever since Bromley took parental responsibility for me at the age of 17, they have been wonderful with preparing me to become a young independent woman. They have provided me with different accommodation and encouraged me to move to independent living by providing me a bidding number for my own flat. Although, I was thrilled with having my own flat, I was well worried about managing my bills and living all alone. However, Bromley assigned me a floating support worker who guided me through my experience.
I can hold my hand on my heart and say that this has made my last year of college much easier as I had all the support to focus on my education. In result, I am now a second-year social work student and one step away from my future career. Looking back how far I have come in life; I could not be more grateful for all the support and guidance I have received from Bromley and specifically from my support worker. Additionally, having support workers/ social workers who are passionate about their job, really does make a difference.
